Rosny-sous-Bois, 15 May 2025 – Committed to making transport and logistics more attractive, the Heppner Group is helping to train the sector’s future talent. This year, the ETI is recruiting more than 80 young people on work-linked training schemes, with the aim of training them in all transport and logistics professions. This approach reflects Heppner’s family values and is based on passing on knowledge and skills from one generation to the next.
Because the attractiveness of the sector is a key issue, Heppner is steadily increasing its work-linked training recruitment. By September 2025, 80 new young people will be joining Heppner’s teams, bringing the total number of work-linked students to over 130. To achieve this, Heppner is building partnerships with a few schools, including École Supérieure des Transports, Promotrans, AFTRAL and Isteli. Working at the Group’s head office and in its regional agencies, work-study students will receive training in all transport and logistics professions, working with sales, technical and HR teams, as well as digital and CSR teams.
As a century-old company, Heppner places the transmission of know-how and interpersonal skills at the heart of its DNA. To anticipate the renewal of the generations of employees who make up the Group, some of whom have been with the Group for more than 40 years, it relies on work-linked training as a performance lever. By training future generations, Heppner not only passes on the skills needed in the transport and logistics professions, but also the values of the family business, which are at the heart of its success. The ETI also sees work-linked training as a gateway to employment, and every year recruits the best-performing work-linked trainees to join the Group on a permanent basis.
“My work-study placement at Heppner is a real springboard for new professional adventures. It’s a company with a wide range of professions, offering a very enriching view of the different functions and interactions within a structured group. Work-linked students are recognised here, and that contributes greatly to our sense of belonging and autonomy, thanks to the trust placed in us by the teams,” explains Inès Heymes, HR assistant on a work-linked placement at Heppner’s head office.
The work-linked training scheme is part of the Group’s overall employee experience strategy. Heppner is committed to providing its teams with a stimulating and fulfilling working environment that puts talent at the heart of its concerns.
“Our work-study students represent a fantastic pool of talent for the future of our Group and the sector. We are proud to welcome young, curious and committed students every year, so that we can pass on to them all the skills they will need for their future careers. We are keen to support them as they start their careers, and to include them in the close-knit community of employees that make up our company,” says Lysiane Fromentin, Director of Human Resources at the Heppner Group.
